Athens space rock band Maserati released their newest record Maserati VII this month. Even without the late great Jerry Fuchs on drums it’s good to see Maserati can still bring it. heavy bass grooves, Kraftwerk inspired keyboards, and loopy riffs create a snyth spacerock dance party that leaves their old math-rock roots in the dust. this album is the sound of a helicopter crashing into a rave. it’s the soundtrack to some lost sci-fi mashup of Dune and Tron. it’s one of the best records of the year. get this shit.
