Athens Friends/Followers or people who just like roadtrips,  Tomorrow night at the Caledonia is a kickass show featuring 2 of my very favorite bands: Turf War from Atlanta, GA who, if you don’t already know, play sloppy drunken garage punk that would make the Replacements proud. Vincas are Athens own swamp rocking drone noise bastards whose debut Blood Bleeds is one of the best albums of the year, so far. think Scientists, Suicide, and Loop. also on the bill are Nashville garage rockers Cheap Time who are pretty damn killer too.

    Vincas “Deadache”

    have been listening to Vincas debut Blood Bleeds so much the last couple of weeks. The first great record of the year so far. a nice blender of Suicide drone, Cramps psychobilly trash, Jesus Lizard rumble, and other kindsa noisey/dirty/whatever you wanna label it…cuz it all spells out rock n roll. i recommend downloading this. 

  3. listening to.  tonight is the record release for my favorite Athens band, Vincas. they play a psychobilly garage boogie blend of punk with obvious influences like Suicide, The Scientists, The Gun Club, Scratch Acid, The Damned, Monorchid….basically all the art damaged rock n roll that i love more than anything. if you like sleazy noisy dirty rock music then i recommend going to their bandcamp and listening to/ordering Blood Bleeds.  if you are in Athens, GA then you need to bring your ass down to the Caledonia tonight for Vincas and their power pop Atlanta brothers, Gentlemen Jesse & His Men. it’ll be a night of rock n roll goodness.
